With Thousands of Jobs In The Pipeline… Jagaban Deserves To Be Embraced

Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has returned home after a successful business trip in the People’s Republic of China
His latest initiative signals a revolutionary step in Sierra Leone’s transportation sector, with plans to introduce Jagaban motorcycles, buses, solar-powered streetlights, and a modern ferry service.
This intervention comes at a critical time when transportation remains a stumbling block to national growth. The Waka Fine buses, introduced through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), have failed to meet the demands of city commuters, leaving workers to queue for hours just to get to and from their workplaces. The introduction of a new fleet of buses will therefore complement existing ones and help sustain economic and informal sector activities.
“We want to create entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone. Many young people are out there doing nothing. I want to give them the opportunity to become their own bosses so they can live their lives as Allah intended. I am a leader that inspires people to become great,” Jagaban affirmed.
According to him, the Jagaban motorcycles will be sold at affordable rates, opening up job opportunities for the youth. This will break the monopoly that has long drained the nation’s resources while empowering ordinary Sierra Leonean.
Jagaban also intends to support the military with specially designed, cost-recovery motorcycles tailored to their needs.
This will definitely boost the morale of our men and women in the Force.
Beyond land transport, one of his major reforms targets the sea transportation system. He has announced plans to introduce a brand-new ferry between Lungi Tagrin and Freetown. The existing ferries have frequently broken down due to engine failures and technical faults, often leaving passengers stranded. As a result, many are forced to rely on costly private alternatives such as Sea Coach and Sea Bird, which remain unaffordable for the average citizen.
With these ambitious projects, it is imperative that the government recognizes and supports Jagaban’s vision. The Ministry of Transport and Aviation must be prepared to welcome these initiatives and ensure their smooth implementation.
As we walk towards an inclusive governance, it is incumbent on the government to encourage indigenous business people like Jagaban to create more jobs for the youths.
As a leading presidential aspirant for the All-People’s Congress (APC), Jagaban’s agenda transcends politics and partisanship. His vision reflects a nationalistic and development-oriented mindset—one that deserves to be embraced.
