Eco Rice Sets To Hit The Market Again in December
In readiness for the annual Christmas Eco Rice Bonanza, the Eco Rice Company has harvested a sixty acre of high standard rice in Kenema, eastern Sierra Leone.
The next phase of the harvest will target another 100 acres as the company strives to maintain its annual Christmas bonanza sales.
The Christmas rice sale ensures the availability of quality rice at an affordable price for locals in Kenema.
With the state-of-the-art mechanized farming, and rice mill, the Chief Executive Officer of Eco Rice Company, Professor David Francis has championed rice production in Kenema district through support and motivation to other farmers in support of the Feed Salone initiative.
Since the company recently signed an agricultural memorandum of understanding with a Chinese-based engineering company, Eco Rice company has expanded its production capacity by showcasing the agricultural ability of Kenema.
“Sierra Leone has what it takes to Feed its people. We are not only telling Sierra Leoneans to farm but also taking active part in farming. This will motivate other people to see farming as lucrative and worth investing in,” the CEO of Eco Rice Production company, Professor Francis said while revealing plans for new planting season.
