Jagaban Storms Waridala Town, Highlights Development Plans For the People
Mohamed Omodu Kamara, known as Jagaban on Friday January 24 2025, made a historic visit to Waridala Town in Biriwa Chiefdom, Bombali district.
Amidst fanfare and jubilation, Jagaban was welcomed by hundreds of people from neighboring villages; describing his visit as one of its kind.
Welcoming Jagaban and entourage, Alhaji Seray Foday Fonanah, gave a historic background of the town which used to be known as ‘small Mecca’ in Sierra Leone.
He said that, the visit of Jagaban has strengthened his bond with the people of Waridala and Biriwa as a whole.
In his remarks, Mr. Mohamed Kamara, thanked the people of Waridala and surrounding towns for honoring him as he promised to solidify that bond with development and unity.
Addressing the energy concern of the people, Mr. Kamara said that Waridala will be known as the second ‘Town of Light’ after Blama his home town, adding that his visit to Waridala, was the best to have happened in his life.
Boosting education,
Mr Kamara promised to equip the Waridala school with ICT facilities and to discuss the issue of teachers without PIN Codes.
Promoting Food Security,
Mr Kamara underscores the plights of farmers as they go through a lot of constraints. To address this, he promised to bring tractors to help farmers plough their lands, adding that an agricultural trust Fund will be established to provide loans for farmers with no interest.
Town Hall Construction:
One major concern raised by the people was the completion of the town hall under construction. Mr Kamara assured that, it will be completed by him in the shortest possible time.
Preaching Peace and National Cohesion:
Mr. Kamara called on Sierra Leoneans to value the long-existing national cohesion and religious tolerance in the country.
“We know things are not easy in the country. But that should not be a yardstick to insult or curse leaders. They are chosen by God. When you pray for them, prosperity will come back to you,” he admonished.
Addressing the dire need of imams and pastors, he said that those in that region will henceforth be considered by his organization.
He also advised bike riders especially the youths to be developmentally oriented as he promised to support them.
