betPawa Celebrates Africa’s Biggest Aviator Winners with Over SLE 24 Million in Payouts
Africa’s largest iGaming brand, betPawa, has once again made headlines after revealing a historic payout of SLE 24,750,000 (USD 1,107,573) in a single round of the popular Aviator game, the biggest group win of its kind ever recorded on the continent.
The celebration, hosted in Accra, Ghana, brought together record-breaking winners from across Africa, including Ghana, Cameroon, Zambia, Uganda, and Malawi. The centrepiece of the event was a round of Aviator that showcased the game’s enormous winning potential, with individual players turning micro-bets into life-changing amounts.
Among the standout winners was Clovis from Cameroon, who placed two small bets of 150 FCFA (USD 0.26) and 100 FCFA (USD 0.17), netting a staggering 150 million FCFA (USD 270,000) through record-breaking multipliers of 500,000x and 750,000x. Other Cameroonian players, like Godi, Hyacinte, and Jules, also hit massive wins ranging from USD 135,000 to over USD 155,000.
From Ghana, Prince in Kumasi turned GH¢6.50 (USD 0.62) into GH¢2,000,000 (USD 193,079) with a 307,692.31x multiplier, while Zambia’s Sidney transformed K6 (USD 0.25) into K3,250,000 (USD 136,110).
Winners from other parts of Africa weren’t left out. A Ugandan player bagged UGX 450 million (USD 121,500) on a 2,250x multiplier. In Malawi, one player flipped MWK 481 (28 cents) into over USD 124,000, and another turned a mere MWK 161 (USD 0.09) into USD 53,000.
betPawa rolled out the red carpet for these winners with VIP treatment chauffeured rides, luxury accommodations, business class flights, and a private jet experience over Ghana. The celebration wasn’t just about luxury; it also introduced a financial empowerment initiative in partnership with the Gaming Commission of Ghana and a team of financial advisors. The aim is to help winners manage their wealth through smart investments and financial planning.
“This is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do,” said Borah Ndanyungu, Head of Local Marketing and CSR at betPawa. “We love big winners. In fact, we’re built for them.”
Ndanyungu also emphasized the company’s commitment to responsible gaming, highlighting betPawa’s player protection tools and educational resources designed to help users enjoy the game responsibly.
