APC Flag Bearer Hopeful Dr. Bangura Celebrates “Ibrahim Day” with Worshippers in Makeni
For many Muslims around the world, Eid-ul-Adha symbolizes
the enduring legacy of Prophet Ibrahim’s faith, obedience, sacrifice, and complete submission to the will of God. The festival marks the historic moment when Ibrahim demonstrated unwavering devotion by his willingness to sacrifice his son before divine mercy provided a ram in his place.
Against this deeply spiritual backdrop, supporters and residents in Makeni described the occasion as particularly symbolic, with “Ibrahim” celebrating “Ibrahim Day” among the people.
Dr. Bangura’s participation in the Eid prayers and celebrations reflected his continued message of peace, unity, and national renewal under the DIB Movement’s mantra: “Heal, Unite and Build.”
Speaking to thousands of residents and supporters after prayers, Dr. Bangura emphasized the importance of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and unity; values strongly associated with the story of Prophet Ibrahim and the significance of Eid-ul-Adha.
He called on Sierra Leoneans to rise above division and work collectively toward restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity for all citizens, particularly women and young people.
